Julie Anne San Jose, Kapuso multi-talented actress and singer, recently recorded her own version of Hale’s famous ballad “Kung Wala Ka.”
Her vocal prowess and confidence added a new touch to Hale’s 2005 melodrama tune, which has already notched up 77 million Spotify streams.
The dramatic song explores the consequences of someone abandoned by someone you’ve created a life with, as well as the difficulties of moving forward on your own.
Julie’s cover debuted at number three on the iTunes Philippine Chart just a few hours after its release.
It has been included on Spotify New Music Friday, Apple Music OPM Slider, Apple Music Absolute OPM, and Youtube Music New Release Mix, among other music digital retailers.
Julie Anne San Jose ignited the nation when she recently took center stage on an electronic billboard in New York Times Square for Spotify’s “Equal” campaign.
Her first single of the year, “FREE,” has been added to both the local and global Spotify Equal playlists.
Julie, dubbed “Asia’s Limitless Star,” has also just released her debut musical trilogy, “Limitless.”
“There are a lot of experiences that are difficult to put into words.
Many emotions are challenging to describe.
“It’s just like my journey,” she said of her trilogy to her Instagram followers.
“Mahirap siyang ipaliwanag, mahirap siyang ilarawan. Kaya masmabuti pa, let me show you.”
