Filipino Athletes in Tokyo Olympics 2021

After almost a century of trying to win the elusive Olympic gold, the Philippines finally won by Hidilyn Diaz in weightlifting.

This contingent also had the Philippines best finish ever in the Olympics, with four overall medals.

The other medal winners are Nesthy Petecio (silver in boxing), Carlo Paalam (silver in boxing), Eumir Marcial (bronze in boxing)

The 19 athletes of the Philippines are one of the smallest contingents in the Olympics but excelled in their respective sports fighting for honor, glory, and country.
